of Penasco, NM passed away on December 5, 2008.
He was born on January 14,1925 to
Jose Cruz Pacheco and Rosarito Pacheco in Rio Lucio,
NM. He was a devotedCatholic and a wonderful father.
His hobbies included chopping wood, gardening and
spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
wife Rebecca Pacheco, his parents,
four sisters and one brother. John is survived by his
three sons: Tommy Pacheco (Clarabelle) Pacheco of
Alcalde, NM, Leroy (Angie) Pacheco of
Rio Lucio, NM, Marvin (Jeannie) Pacheco of Ft. Worth, TX,
four daughters: Merlinda (Samuel) Lopez of Chainisal,
NM, Dorothy (Chris) Lyles of Singapore, Lenora
(Dale) Cisneros of Penasco, NM, and Vivian Pacheco of
Taos, NM, 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1
great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and
nephews. He is also survived by sisters: Estella Vigil,
Josie Tafoya, Ruby Ortega; two brothers: Henry Pacheco
and Gilbert Pacheco. A rosary was held at 7:00 pm on
Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at San Antonio
Dc Padua Church in Penasco. The Funeral Mass was held
at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at San
Antonio Dc Padua Church in Penasco
10:00 am on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at San
Antonio Dc Padua Church in Penasco with burial following
at the Santo Thomas Cemetery in Ojo Sarco.
