El RITO – ROGER MEDINA, 75 of El Rito passed
away in Alamosa under Hospice Care on July 14,
2008. he was born to Tonito Espinoza and
Crucita Montoya on February 1, 1933 in San
Francisco, CO.
His hobbies includes going for wood, fishing,
hunting, riding horses, and spending time with
his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two
brothers; Rudy Sanchez and Floyd Montoya, one
sister Nancy Martinez ; one son Roger Medina, Jr..
Roger is survived by his wife Rita Medina, one
son; Martin (Brenda)
Medina of Questa, NM, one daughter; Janet
Medina of Monte Vista, six grandchildren and five
great grandchildren four brothers; Charlie (Sylvia)
Montoya, Ernie (June) Montoya, Leo Montoya,
Arthur Montoya all of Rawlins, Wyoming, eight
sisters; Rose (Junior) Muniz of Rock Springs,
Wyoming, Emma Ortiz of Denver, Yolanda (
Manuel) Esquibel of Denver, Lori (Andrew)
Jaramillo of Questa, NM, Vie (Johnny) Hall of
Hannah, Wyoming, Shirley (Ray) Johanson, Patsy
Montoya, Eva (John) Sanchez all of Rawlins,
Wyoming, and several nephews, nieces and
cousins.
Viewing and visitation will be held from 1-7 PM
on Thursday, July 17, 2008 and 1-5 PM on Friday,
July 18, 2008 at Weylen’s Funeral Home Chapel.
A Rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 17
at Weylen’s Funeral Home Chapel with another
rosary at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 18 at St. Francis
of Assisi Church in San Francisco.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on
Saturday, July 19, 2008 at St. Francis of Assisi
Church in San Francisco.
