Levi Gonzales, 79
Levi Gonzales of Ft. Garland passed away on
January 3, 2008 at San Luis Valley Regional Medical
Center. He was born to Abram and Refugito
Gonzales on October 9, 1928.
Levi was a member of the United States Army. He
was a member of the Costilla County Economic
Development, Ft. Garland Revitalization Committee,
Northern Costilla County Cemetery Association, and
the Church at Fort Garland. He enjoyed wood
working and hunting.
He is preceded in death by one daughter Rita Beth
Cordova, two brothers Tom And Rudy Gonzales, one
sister Helen Medina.
He is survived by his Loving Wife Helen of 53 years.
One daughter; Ila Tafoya of Ft. Garland, four sisters;
Eloisa Maestas, Beatrice Garcia, Mary Helen
(Adolph) Martinez, Hope (Beuford) Wilcox all of
Pueblo, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday,
January 11, 2008 at the Blanca Ft. Garland
Community Center.
Arrangements were made with Weylen’s Funeral
