Joe Montoya, 77,
of Taos, NM passed away on May 25, 2007 at his
home in Taos. He was born on September 27, 1929
to Desidedrio and Canuta Montoya in Valdez, NM.
He was a Municipal Judge in Taos for many years and
was also a Barber.
He was preceded in death by a daughter JoAnn
Montoya.
Joe is survived by his wife Dorothy. Four sons;
Marcus (Maxine) Montoya, Lawrence Montoya, Jacob
Montoya and Jerome Montoya, three daughters; Janet
(Tim) Martinez, Julie (Glen) Snail, Jessica (Cesar)
Corona, three brothers Reymundo, Auran, and Ignacio
Montoya, two sisters; Crucita Vigil and Eufracia
Montoya, 15 grandchildren and 11 great
grandchildren.
A Funeral Service was held at 7:00 PM on Sunday
May 27, 2007 at Grace Brethren Church in Taos.
Interment was held at Valdez Cemetery on Monday
May 28.
