Fred Rael, 85
of Questa passed away in Raton on February 16,
2009. He was born on October 16, 1923 to Enriques
and Adonaisa in Questa.
He was a member of the VFW and Cabresto Lake
Irrigation Association. He is preceded in death by
his parents, his wife Cecilia, one brother Melesio
Rael, one sister Delia Gonzales, one grandson
Ryan Vigil.
Fred is survived by four sons; Fred Jr.(Gloria) Rael
of Questa, Raymond (fiancé Cindy) Rael of Taos,
Rodney (fiancé Lisa) Rael of San Antonio, Texas,
Henry Rael of Albuquerque, three daughters;
Barbara (Gene) Vigil of Albuquerque, Lourdes Rael
of Miami, Florida, Novella (fiancé Jim) of Miami,
Florida, ten grandchildren, three brothers; Aaron
(Ruth) Rael, Richard (Olivia) Rael, Vito (Eliosa)Rael
all of Questa, four sisters; Euralia Torres of Arroyo
Seco, Tina Padilla of Albuquerque, Grace Martinez
of Santa Fe, Maggie (Leo) Cummings of Colorado
Springs, CO.
Viewing and Visitation will be from 1-5 PM on
Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Weylen’s Funeral
Home Chapel in Questa.
A Rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February
19, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos.
The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday,
February 20, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church
in Taos with interment to follow at El Pueblito
Cemetery in Questa. Arrangements were made
with Weylen’s Funeral Home in Questa, New
