EMEJIDIO VIALPANDO
Chama - Emejidio Vialpando, 89, of Chama
passed away in Denver on February 6, 2009.
He was born to Juan and Elaiza Vialpando on
October 19, 1919 in Chama, CO.
Emejidio enjoyed going to the casinos, wood
carving, working with leather, weaving and
drawing. He was a member of the American
Legion and served his country in World War II.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife
Elsie, two sons; Dennis and Lawrence
Vialpando and one great grandchild.
Emejidio is survived by two daughters; Jenny
(Leon) Cruz of Albuquerque, NM, Eileen
Vialpando (Lloyd Olivas) of Denver and five
grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM today at Sangre
De Cristo Parish in San Luis.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on
Wednesday February 11, 2009 at Immaculate
Conception Church in Chama with Interment to
follow at Chama Cemetery.
