Cordilia Garcia, 96
of Cerro, NM passed away on March 2, 2009 in Taos.
She was the first born to Enriques and Emiliana
Segura on September 2, 1912 in Cerro, NM.
She was a member of theGuadalupana, at Sacred
Heart League and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is
preceded in death by her husband Rufino Garcia, two
daughters; Julia Garcia and Mary Montgomery, one
son Juan R. Garcia, and one grandson Brad Jaramillo,
two brothers Abe Segura and Ross Segura and one
sister Ida Casuas.
Cordilia is survived by her children Isaac (Virginia),
Dorothy (Bill), Grace (Benito), Eugene (Esther),
Evangelene (Lawrence), 22 grandchildren 34 great
grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, three
brothers; , Mike Segura, numerous nieces nephews,
cousins and her adopted neighbor family, the
Quintana’s.
A Rosary was held at 7:00 PM at Weylen’s Funeral
Home Chapel on Thursday, March 5, 2009 and at 7:00
PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Cerro on
Friday, March 6, 2009.
The Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of
Guadalupe Church in Cerro on Saturday, March 7,
2009 with interment to follow at Cerro Cemetery.
Arrangements were made with Weylen’s Funeral Home
in Questa. www. weylens-funeral-home.com.
