Alfonso “Frito” E. Vigil

of Cerro, NM, passed away unexpectedly March 20,
2007 at his home in Cerro, NM.
He was born on July 16, 1941 to Alfonso and Gertrude
Vigil. He was married to Charlotte “Annie” Willingham.

“Frito” was in the Army and was well known as one of
the best Heavy Equipment Operators. He loved
hunting, fishing, and branding. If his neighbors needed
help he was always there to lend a helping hand.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter
Tracy Vigil.
“Frito” is survived by his wife “Annie” , three sons;
Johnny Vigil, Brian Vigil, Martin Vigil- all of Cerro, One
daughter Dawn (Scott) Goodson- Honolulu HI, four
brothers; Ben Vigil, Cerro, Jose (Elva) Vigil – Cerro,
Ruben (Eleanor) Vigil – San Manuel, AZ, Frank Vigil-
Cerro, four sisters; Gloria ( Lupe) Vigil- Cerro, Ercilia
(Bill) Vigil Akeu- Colo. Springs, CO, Barbara ( Mario)
Olivarez- Claypool, AZ, Gerti ( Gary) Castaneda-
Tucson, AZ. three grandchildren, Marissa Goodson,  
Miquela Goodson, Miguel Hurtado, numerous
nephews. and nieces

Rosary Vigils were held at 7:00 PM Thursday March
22, 2007 at Weylen’s Funeral Home Chapel in Questa,
NM and at 7:00 PM Friday 23, 2007 at Our Lady of
Guadalupe Church in Cerro

A Visitation was from 1:00 – 6:00 PM on Friday March
23, 2007 at Weylen’s Funeral Home Chapel in Questa
NM, with procession to follow to Our Lady of
Guadalupe Church in Cerro, NM

The Funeral Mass was held Saturday March 23, 2007
at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in
Cerro, NM with burial to follow at the Cerro Cemetery.
Arrangements were made with Weylen’s Funeral Home
of Questa, NM www.weylens-funeral-home.com.
